NEW PLANS FOR LOCATION OF SCOUTS HQ IN RECREATION GROUND-
A new application has been submitted to Bromley Council for the proposed Scouts HQ to be built on the site presently containing the Children's Playground, which will be moved, rather than next to the tennis clubhouse as was originally intended. The new application has the support of several local groups, including the Tennis Club, and letters of support to the Chief Planning Officer will be of assistance to the project. JUNIOR TOURNAMENT, SATURDAY FEBRUARY 20, 2010, 9.00am - 4.00pm.

Social Play - Sunday morning 10am - 1pm, also Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 10am - 1pm.
Team practice session - Saturday morning, 9.00am - 11.00am (by invitation of team captains or new members with League experience)
WHERE IS THE CLUB?
You will find the Club in Chislehurst Recreation Ground, with access via Empress Drive (off Willow Grove), or via the footpath next to the Public Library in the High Street. If you enter from Walden Road, the Tennis Club is at the far end of the Ground. We have four all-weather Macadam courts and a clubhouse with cooking and toilet facilities. There is limited parking space in local roads, and bus routes 161, 61 and 160 stop nearby.

New members are always welcome, and if you are interested in joining, do come along on a Sunday morning after 10.00am and ask for an application form. We do not have a playing-in system, so you will be welcome to join in and hit some balls and see how you get on. If you have experience of playing in league matches, come along to our Team Practice sessions on Saturday (9.00am) and Monday (6.00pm)
WHEN CAN I PLAY?
As well as Sunday, there is also social play on midweek mornings - Monday, Wednesday and Friday. All adult members are supplied with a key to the courts, which enables access to play at any time, though the Clubhouse is not open other than during Social Play sessions.
Team players meet for practice sessions on Saturday morning and Monday evening.
WHAT ABOUT JUNIORS?
We also have a very popular Junior coaching session on Saturday
mornings, covering various age-ranges, and run by our qualified coach,
who will be pleased to talk to you and give you more information
regarding the fees.
IS THERE ANY COACHING?
The Club Coach is Olly Martin, whose contact details can be found on the Coaching tab. Olly is available for individual adult coaching.
ARE THERE ANY LEAGUE MATCHES OR TOURNAMENTS?
We also have a number of teams playing in the North Kent League, in the Ladies, Mens, Mixed and Juniors sections, and tournaments are held from time to time during the year.
